Yulia Nemova is an artist and a filmmaker born and raised in Tashkent, 
Uzbekistan, graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute in 2015.

During studies and after graduation she was working as an architect

in Moscow and Paris. Yulia works within the field of speculative

architecture & design and XR technologies.

searching for the disappearance of a form

​

Exploration of the loss of control of form creation in architecture field led me 
to work in the topics of invisible architecture, anti - architecture 
and the architecture of flows.

My work lies within the intersection of traditional and digital mediums 
such as hand graphics, performance and AR, VR, video and AI. Connection between technology and hand drawing and its expression in locality, time 
context is a main challenge in my work. 

I question what are the notable features of a place and what are these 
of them which comes to be unnoticed, how do we get connected 
to a place, how our bodies can relate to it, and is it possible to become closer

to spaces we inhabit, to care about them, and even make them care about us?
